The Universal Conveyor Co. Ltd and Modern Air Systems, both established in the 1950’s were purchased by Maurice Hutson in the 1990’s and are complimentary businesses within the Industries that Parker Plant performs. Universal Conveyors manufacture a wide range of Bulk Handling systems from Full Conveyor systems through to individual Drums and Idlers on a modernised production line, offering ex-stock components to the Material Handling Industry. Currently trading under the banner of Parker Universal our products are used in the following industries:

Quarrying, Mining, Coated Stone, Sand & Gravel, Marine Aggregates, Water Industry, Baggage Handling, Ship Loading, Demolition, Steel, Coal and Civil Engineering to name just a few.

They also manufacture a full range of Genuine Components and Parts and provide a 24hr/7 day a week worldwide service.

Universal Conveyors and Modern Air Systems recently moved to the Viaduct Works, Canon Street site and all three companies now operate from this same location.
